Ian was born in 1984 in Taunton, Somerset, UK. His love of photography was not discovered until 2005 when he became involved in helping out with Taunton Blackbrook Football Club. He took his first digital camera (a 3.2 mega pixel Canon Powershot A350) to a game and took some head and shoulder photographs of the players and committee.
Ian soon became frustrated with the limitations of the Powershot, and decided to invest in a more advanced camera. Therefore, a Samsung Pro 815 was purchased, and the long process of learning about exposure, shutter speeds, apertures, white balance and so on began.
Having found out the basics and become frustrated with the shutter lag of the Samsung bridge camera, more money was saved and Ian reverted back to many photographers' favourite brand, buying a Canon EOS 400d SLR. Ian has since upgraded to one of the newest Canon SLR's on the market in the shape of the EOS 5d mark 2, with the 400d being relegated to being his back up body.
Ian's photographic subjects changed with the purchase of the Canon camera. After reading through books and looking on various websites, Ian came across some breathtaking inspiration in the form of David Noton, Charlie Waite and Joe Cornish, as well as the Somerset based Nick Cable. Landscapes were preferred to the sports and wildlife shots he had previously taken, and the first photograph he was happy with was taken in Cornwall at 6am during August of 2007. He had well and truly caught the photographic bug.

After many hours spent, and endless miles travelled at unearthly times of the day, with many pounds invested on new equipment, we reach the present day.
Ian still loves getting up at ridiculous times of the day to venture out and capture atmospheric images of the local area, in order to showcase his talents.
